Another way big brands use social media, esp twitter, is handle customer complaints and concerns. Instead of calling an 800 # I’ve now found myself going on Twitter, putting in the company’s handle and saying I have a concern or something like that. Instant response. In fact, reputation management and customer service may now be their main ways of using social media.
