I literally was writing about word choices and reviewing feedback from a client when I saw this. I created some UX friction on a blog post I wrote for a client on office productivity. A few awkward phrases which didn’t seem awkward to me, even after giving it a brief rest before editing … and some other phrase issues … but, yes, in longer articles when dealing with involved concepts one can create friction. I never thought of it applied to writing for clients but this helps me see that.
